Opportunity Culture Schools 2020–21
As of mid-2020–21, 502 schools were implementing, designing, or committed by their districts or states to launch Opportunity Culture.
Opportunity Culture grew from 7 implementing schools in 2013–14 to 280 schools in 2020–21, reaching more than 83,000 students. Additionally, 126 schools have begun designing their plans for 2021–22 implementation. States and districts have committed to launch Opportunity Culture in an additional 96 schools in the next few years. Public Impact anticipates welcoming over 100 additional schools by fall 2021, bringing the total projected number to more than 600 schools.
Note: Schools counted as “committed for future years” include only those to which states or districts have committed formally via a grant agreement, a published strategic plan (such as a state ESSA plan), and/or a contract with Public Impact. For sites that have committed to a range, this count uses the minimum of that range. For sites that have committed to “up to” a certain number of schools, this count uses 75 percent of that maximum, rounded to a whole number.
