North Carolina Advanced Teaching Roles

Include Opportunity Culture® teaching teams in your application

North Carolina provides grant funds annually for districts to develop advanced, higher-paid roles for educators. Since 2016, over 65% of districts receiving Advanced Teaching Roles funds have used Opportunity Culture® staffing designs, founded by Public Impact®, in their applications. Partnering with us lowers the lift of applying and bases your application on a model with a record of success.

With Opportunity Culture® staffing designs:

Extra Months of Learning Each Year

Research-proven

Teaching teams boost student learning by an extra 4.5 months annually in reading and math on average—roughly a half-year of extra learning every year, according to third-party studies, helping students catch up and leap ahead.

% Teacher Approval in Surveys

Educator-endorsed

Teachers love the team roles; anonymous surveys show 99% of team leaders and 91% of those in all team roles want their schools to keep them.

Key Steps for Districts

Look for the RFP on the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction webpage in early May.

Register for the Opportunity Culture® ATR information session on May 20 at 10:00 a.m. ET to learn how your district can benefit from Opportunity Culture® advanced roles and teams. (Can’t attend? Please register so we can send you the recording!)

Fill out this interest survey to alert the Public Impact® team you are interested in submitting an Opportunity Culture® Advanced Teaching Roles application. (Already in contact with one of our team members? Skip this step!)

Respond to our emailed invitation to schedule time to discuss your interest, service pricing, and application needs. We will also share draft proposal language to support you as you write your application.
