Opportunity Culture educators and district personnel continue to develop their leadership and instructional skills in virtual sessions throughout the year.
During the school year, we offer virtual professional learning sessions to help your Opportunity Culture educators succeed, timed to address topics and needs as they are likely to arise throughout the year. Currently, we offer professional learning for Opportunity Culture school leaders, multi-classroom leaders, team reach teachers, and reach associates, as well as district personnel.

Session Types:
- Content Learning Sessions are developed using best Opportunity Culture practices, follow adult learning principles, and allow for participant practice.
- Communities of Practice are virtual spaces for small groups of Opportunity Culture educators to come together by role to share experiences applying strategies from content learning, practice, problem solve, and learn from each other.
Session Details:
- Virtual, live sessions so you can learn from where you are and choose the time that works best
- Choose topics based on what you need with sessions aligned to Opportunity Culture best practices
- High-touch facilitation in collaborative sessions: 15 participants per facilitator
- Cohort-based learning with Opportunity Culture peers across the U.S.
Virtual School Year 2023-24 Professional Learning for District Leaders
National District Capacity Building – School Year
- $1,200 per participant
- District leaders will attend Opportunity Culture Director Community of Practice meetings throughout the school year, along with select school-year professional learning sessions with “train the trainer” breakout rooms for Opportunity Culture directors/district leaders/district PD department leads.
- Includes up to 12 credit hours per participant.
Objectives include:
- Building a collaborative community of Opportunity Culture district leaders across the country
- Building capacity of Opportunity Culture district leaders to support Opportunity Culture educators independent from Public Impact
- Learning about high-impact practices and create a plan to implement
Sessions details:
- Eight, one-hour Community of Practice meetings throughout the school year
- Opportunities to purposefully observe professional learning for Opportunity Culture educators and discuss takeaways with a Public Impact facilitator and other district leaders in breakout rooms
- A national cohort with peers across the country

Virtual School Year Professional Learning 2023-24 for Educators
School Year Professional Learning – Standard Support
- $1,500 per participant (for early bird discount pricing, see here)
- Includes up to 15 credit hours per participant throughout the 2023-24 school year with sessions for school leaders, Multi-Classroom Leaders (MCLs), master team reach teachers (MTRTs), team reach teachers (TRTs), and reach associates (RAs)
- Sessions are categorized by role, SIR indicator, engagement level, topic, credit hours, date, and prerequisites.
- Session topics specific to each role. See sample topics below.
School Year Professional Learning – Lite Support
- $900 per participant (for early bird discount pricing, see here)
- Includes up-to 9 credits hours per participant throughout the 2023-24 school year with sessions for school leaders, MCLs, MTRTs, TRTs, and RAs.
- Sessions are categorized by role, SIR indicator, engagement level, topic, credit hours, date, and prerequisites.

- Note: This option is only recommended if your site has systems and structures in place to provide consistent and targeted professional learning for your Opportunity Culture educators. Sites may choose a mix of standard and lite support for different roles and years based on district need.
