Opportunity Culture District Capacity-Building
Opportunity Culture district leads and directors get support in launching their implementation work with schools and districts
Opportunity Culture summer professional learning features virtual training for district personnel new to Opportunity Culture. During the school year, we offer virtual professional learning sessions for Opportunity Culture district leaders, timed to address topics and needs as they are likely to arise throughout the year.
National District Capacity-Building—Summer
- $750 per person
- Serves as onboarding for district personnel new to supporting Opportunity Culture implementation
- Includes 8 credit hours through synchronous and asynchronous content plus guidance on purposeful observation of Summer Professional Learning (SPL) for Opportunity Culture educators
Objectives include:
- Building a collaborative community of Opportunity Culture district leaders across the country
- Successfully launching Opportunity Culture district leaders in their new role
Session details:
- A national cohort with peers across the country
- Three, two-hour virtual sessions offered in June

- Establishing District-level Goals and Metrics
- Evaluating Current Opportunity Culture Implementation Through a Checklist
- Planning Support of Implementing and Designing Schools
National District Capacity-Building—School Year
- $1,200 per participant
- District leaders will attend Opportunity Culture Director community of practice meetings throughout the school year, along with select school-year professional learning sessions with “train the trainer” breakout rooms for Opportunity Culture Directors/district leaders/district PD department leads.
- Includes up to 12 credit hours per participant
- Developed and led by a former Opportunity Culture director
Objectives include:
- Building a collaborative community of Opportunity Culture district leaders across the country
- Building capacity of Opportunity Culture district leaders to support Opportunity Culture educators independent from Public Impact
- Learning about high-impact practices and create a plan to implement these practices
Session details:
- Eight, one-hour community of practice meetings throughout the school year
- Opportunities to purposefully observe professional learning for Opportunity Culture educators and discuss takeaways with a Public Impact facilitator and other district leaders in breakout rooms
- A national cohort with peers across the country
